Why?

I see a lot of pain and suffering in people's lives everywhere. Some understandable, some not - either way I do not believe we are as fragile as we think we are after billions of years of being on this earth. I read once that a young girl came into the lounge where her farther was reading a newspaper. She tries to steal his attention but the farther explains that he is busy and wants to finish his paper. While she persisted in getting his attention he ripped out a photo of the earth from the previous page. He tears it into shreds and throws all the pieces onto the floor. “Here, put the world back together again, that will keep you busy for now.” Far sooner than he expected there was the earth put together again like a completed puzzle. “How did you do it so quickly?” the farther asked. “There was a picture of a person on the other side. As soon as I put the person back together again, the world was back together again.”
This is my favorite story to illustrate how all the problems in the world come from all the problems inside the people. When a person is complete, people are complete - the world is complete. We could all wake up on a different planet tomorrow, where everything seems like paradise. It could be as beautiful as Pandora from Avatar, but as long as the heaven only exists out there, it's never going to last because it's not inside of us. I want to help bring the paradise inside for it to then be expressed outwardly.
